Statistics for Quality Improvement

Bruno Scibilia 19 October, 2011

Bruno ScibiliaI'm Bruno Scibilia. I joined the Paris-based Minitab team in 2007 as a Technical Support Specialist, responding to customer queries regarding the installation and use of Minitab Statistical Software and the project management software Companion by Minitab.

I now lead a number of the Minitab Public Training courses in Paris.

I obtained a Ph.D. in Design of Experiments (DOE), and then worked as a statistical engineer in the semiconductor industry for six years. I also am a certified Six Sigma Black Belt from the American Society for Quality (ASQ).

I was a practitioner of quality improvement statistical techniques within a manufacturing company for a number of years. This experience of the industrial environment and the awareness of its problems and challenges give me a better understanding of how statistics may be used, in a very practical way, to make processes more robust, optimize them and then control them....

I look forward to sharing some of what I've learned about statistics and quality improvement with you through the Minitab Blog!
